Challenges
Building a smooth e-commerce journey that generates high conversion rate while keeping user needs and goals in the main focus.
The user interface had to reflect the brand’s minimalistic and high-end aesthetic while providing a seamless, intuitive browsing and purchasing experience, while maintaining a minimalist, elegant visual identity.
Goal
This project aimed to deliver a seamless and smooth e-commerce journey for users across different viewports, mobile and desktop. The goal was to build a clean, minimalist interface and maintaining consistent, user-centered experience for online shoppers.
My Contributions
I conceptualized and designed the e-commerce platform with a primary focus on keeping users engaged and happy to prevent abandonment and maximize conversion rates. I aimed to achieve this by minimizing cognitive load and distractions by a smooth and seamless journey with a simple and minimalist interface.
I prioritized clear navigation with a strong information architecture and information scent, minimized friction with a streamlined checkout process, and used behavioral science techniques to build trust, and integrated cross-selling modules like ‘Frequently Bought Together’ or ‘You May Also Like’ directly into the product detail and cart pages to increase Average Order Value without disrupting the user flow.
